Which is probably the most beautiful part of İzmir. The Residents of Karşıyaka call themselves “35 +”. The 35 stands for the license plate of Izmir and the plus to indicate that they feel comfortable here.
To reach the busy tourist places like Alsancak and Konak you simply take the ferry from Karşıyaka Pier. The crossing takes about 20 minutes and costs less than 50 cents. To return, you can take the 121 or 122 bus and after around 25 minutes journey you are back in Karşıyaka.
İzmir is the third largest city in Turkey, but it probably offers the most western standard in comparison to the capital Ankara and the Megapol İstanbul with more than 15 million inhabitants.
But the coolest place in Izmir is Karşıyaka and Bostanlı where our Language Center is based. We are situated a stone’s throw from the seaside with many cafes, bars and restaurants. Karşıyaka is the best place to live in Izmir and well known for ist cosmopolitan community. Our Students benefit from the laid-back atmosphere, fresh sea air and a wealth of things to see and do. Very close to the Language school you will find the Yasemin Cafe, where our students enjoy sunny afternoons and gorgeous sunsets.
